KO Count Strategy - The Easiest way to Win

We have already dealt with the High/Low card counting strategy and now we come over the next one - KO count. The first thing to be said about it is that it does not differ in a principal way from the High/Low and that its usage is conditioned by the level of the player and the concrete game it is used in. So during the history of card counting appeared a need of an easier variant, which resulted as a KO Strategy.

The Difference

The only difference of KO count strategy from Hi/Lo is that it is an unbalanced card-counting system and it does not result in a 0 after counting the entire deck. The matter is that in KO all 7s are not equal to 0 or neutral, as it is in Hi/Lo, but here 7 goes with a +1 instead of 0.

This results in a total score of +4 after counting the entire deck, while if you count by a Hi/Lo the result is 0 after same procedure. KO is an unbalanced card-counting system and it fits for those who don't have much practice in blackjack still and who is ready to sacrifice the accuracy of counting to the more relaxed mental activity.

Why it is used

In a modern casino it is sometimes very difficult for a player to be focused all the time on counting in his head, pluses, minuses and the ratio of the running and the true count are distracted all the time by the atmosphere of casino. All complicated card-counting systems require absolute concentration and devotion, which is merely impossible for the beginners, players who don't have much practice or just people who encounter problems in card counting.

That's why a way more simple and plain system of KO is used - player doesn't have to concentrate absolutely on the counter in his head and may enjoy playing while not losing an approximate counter of the game and the cards which were dealt to.

Points

In fact, everything is same as in Hi/Low Strategy except one detail we have already mentioned:

• 2,3,4,5,6 and 7 also go as +1.
• 8,9 go as 0.
• 10, J, Q, K, A go as -1.

That's all. The principles of counting and the sequence remain the same.

Notes

As already been said, the only thing which influences this kind of counting is the accuracy, which can be a bit not as qualitative as in Hi/Lo variant. But for training of novices or just for recreational play it's a perfect and simple variant to be used.
